I'm 25 and have always been dependent on someone..in highschool it was my parents and now my husband. I was pregnant my senior year then got married. Were still together and I love my family very much BUT I feel like something is missing. I NEVER had a job in my life because I never needed to work and i've gained weight etc etc...I just dont want to be this person anymore. But I just dont know where to start. There is so much to be done it seems impossible!

If you want to change your life than you need to take one day at a time. You said that you gained weight and you don't like it well do something about it. You have access to a computer go to some place like Weight watchers and find out how to eat healthier and how to eat the correct portions. Take you children out side as much as possible to get exercise . It will help you and them, You'll be teaching them a healthy lifestyle that will benefit them the rest of their lives. At the same time you will be helping yourself also. Once you loose some weight you'll start to feel better about your self an start to make the other changes that you want to make.

Just remember that you're never stuck anywhere. You can always change and do something else. I don't know exactly what your current situation is, but maybe get a different job, move, go to school, get out of a bad relationship, find new people to spend time with.
There are lots of options, you just have to have the motivation and energy to get up and do it. That will come when you're uncomfortable enough. If you're clinically depressed, you may need medication or therapy.

Set realistic goals.
For example, instead of saying you are going to read a whole book, concentrate on reading one chapter at a time.
if your life is going in the wrong direction, set a goal to change a small part of it. When that goal is met, change another part.
You might want to look at getting a new job if you are working, or changing your class schedule if you are in school.
I am currently writing a book and to be successful, i don't write the whole book all at once, but make a list of what i want to cover in each chapter and write one chapter at a time.
Change takes time, so be patient, but also stick to your goals. Write them down in bold black letters with the date that you wrote the list. Then cross them off in red with the date besides each goal accomplished to see how well you are doing.

Everything is possible. Take a piece of paper and write down some of your goals such as loosing weight and things you want to accomplish.
Just work towards your goals in little steps and reward yourself.
Maybe getting out of the house and working part time would be good for you to meet other people.
Just start doing little by little.

My motivation comes from the rewards I get from what I do. Some are immediate rewards (I feel good after I run, I enjoy the taste of pomegranites, etc.), and others are long-term (I feel good about earning money, thus I go to school). Sometimes I find enjoyment in the process, not just the outcome.
But if the rewards don't interest me, I'm unlikely to be super motivated.

Have you tried meditation? There are numerous proven methods for relieving stress, boredom, anxiety etc. Buddhist techniques are easy to learn and give relatively quick results if you adhere to a systematic program. This has helped me and numerous others I know to relax and enjoy life more. Try searching under meditation, there's heaps of info available.

Ask yourself. are you dying? do you have a disease? do you have every single part of your body attached together. i mean you have your hands, feet, everything is functioning well? use it then...are you in the right mind? use it then...can you read? read then..You may not as unfortunate as you think. some people out there all they want is to be healthy and be able to do their hobbies. be greatful of what has been given to you. im sure you have great talents..just focus on those..
