Around the age of ten is when i want to know the effects on. Beyond psychosomatic dwarfism, unless there is some information about that. Mostly I'd like to know about the learning effects or others around school age.

I mean maybe there is something that you feel is possible but you just don't have enought time to devote to it and it gets lost in everyday life? or something you secretly have wanted to do for ages but don't really think it's possible?
Maybe taking your bedroom band to a recording studio, getting that short story you wrote years ago published, ditching your successful job to do voluntary work somewhere remote, or finally getting back into those jeans you bought just before you found out you were pregnant. Just examples :) it doesn't matter how big or small, just so long as it's important to you.
How important is it to share your goal with the people around you? and do you think this has effect on how successful you are at realising your dream or goal?

For some time now I've been this way with members of my extended family, etc and I think it gets me more respect. It's almost as if showing feelings or "niceness" is perceived as weakness. What do you think?

The headlines read:
Shares in one of the UK's largest mortgage lenders, Northern Rock, were down by 31% after the Bank of England decided to offer it emergency funding.

But experts say it does not mean Northern Rock, which has £113bn in assets, is in danger of going bust.

We Also got pictures of hundreds of people qued up outside branch offices...

Do you think peoples panic will tip us over the edge?

Is it true that only a small number of ancient artifacts are known to us and that there are still many more waiting to be found? How could an archeologist get involved in the search for these artifacts and not get stuck doing research, writing papers and generally not working in sites?

've had this guy friend for a year but he lives in another state. We knew each other before but not very well. Also flirted when chatting a few times and there is chemistry. A few months ago, we arranged to meet and had this meeting a few days ago when we met and made out...but not full sex as I said I didnt want to so soon. I've heard that if a guy wants sex very early on, it means hes out for a fling. Is this true? He had planned a trip another guy friend of his but has now invited me to come with them. Thing is, I feel embarassed about moving quite intimate and I dont know why I feel like this. Also there was a lot of passion. He told me nothing has changed just because we did this and that I'm still invited on the trip. I just want to know what are the signs to look for that he is also falling for me? he is a decent guy.

I mean there used to be a time when people would actually aspire to be college graduates, study hard, be great functional members of society ,and just generally try to be all-around nice people. That had pride. At least, middle-class to upper-class members of society, those that were true members and didn't sleep or marry their way into it.

Nowadays, that's gone. Dysfunction, not caring, living it up, and basically being a moron are the norm, where SO many people, if you witness them out and about at malls, on the street, etc, seem to just be into the thrill of the moment, living and being IN the moment, and reacting at EVERYTHING at face value like little children, and get offended, are subject to primitive like behaviors, emotions, and actions, and just give off animal-like characteristics, that makes it virtually impossible for the sane people around them to relate to them.

We have to ignore them.

Perfect example: all the celeb craziness, jealousy and wannabees.

stupid.

My mother was a fantastic driver, my best friend (a she) is a fantastic driver. Now yes of course I know other female friends that get distracted at the wheel, but so with some male friends.
I don't feel is a gender issue, but a personal one. There are good and bad drivers, men and women. Nevertheless, a car is a vehicle to bring you from point A to point B in a safe way. Why all the competition??

Your thoughts on this?

And for a Sunday smile, here is a story:

Anthropologists please, no opinions thank you! I haven't read Margaret Mead on the subject but have just come accross a reference to the aboriginals in Taiwan 'frowning in pain' ...not crying. Ref. is to Macabe Keliher's fine book "Out of Taiwan -- or Yu Yonghe's Tales of Formosa".
