I mean there used to be a time when people would actually aspire to be college graduates, study hard, be great functional members of society ,and just generally try to be all-around nice people. That had pride. At least, middle-class to upper-class members of society, those that were true members and didn't sleep or marry their way into it.

Nowadays, that's gone. Dysfunction, not caring, living it up, and basically being a moron are the norm, where SO many people, if you witness them out and about at malls, on the street, etc, seem to just be into the thrill of the moment, living and being IN the moment, and reacting at EVERYTHING at face value like little children, and get offended, are subject to primitive like behaviors, emotions, and actions, and just give off animal-like characteristics, that makes it virtually impossible for the sane people around them to relate to them.

We have to ignore them.

Perfect example: all the celeb craziness, jealousy and wannabees.

stupid.

It's like guys being called f@gs and girls being called wh)res, and rich people being called other things, all the discrimination etc. It's so basic, carnal, and just...annoying.

The other person instead of bettering themselves is reacting on such BASIC, and rather childish feelings, and voicing them out.

I mean come on.

It's so sad that humans, without any manners, good parenting and education, end up acting like this.

It almost defeats the whole notion that we're born good. I guess everyone's different, and we are senseless disguisting animals afterall.

lol. Not everyone and don't mean to be negative, but it's sad!

When I grew up it was a dream to go to college. I lived on a farm and my parents were hard working people. My brothers and I had all we needed but no frills, we had to help work the farm and go to school and had part time jobs to buy the things we wanted. It left very little time to hang out, and being bored was just not an option.
We all went to college and paid our own way, it took some time but we all did well, after all it was our dollars paying for it.
The kids today are given everything there is no working for any thing and they feel it is their right and their parents obligation to support them and buy them what ever they want. They are learning early how to use and abuse people. If this offends sorry it's how I see it. When you don't work for it , it means nothing to you.

I find that middle and upper class remark insulting. Im from a working class family and I plan on earning a good living when im older. I have pride in myself and im an all round nice person (when i want to be :D ) That is just generalizisation for example Paris Hilton is from an upper class family and she has slept her way through life. Money has nothing to do with what type of person you are if anything lack of money builds character. Because life isnt about material things its about being a nice person

alright, I've read your opinion, it's mostly wrong, you are romanticizing the past, as old men tend to do, and ignoring the facts on the way.
