Simple - just imagine what your life will be like 10 years from now if you do not study and do well on this test (and the ones to follow). Remember, you carve your own destiny.

If you're really not in the mood, then you should probably just take a break for a while instead of forcing yourself to study. Sitting there in a distracted state of mind isn't a great idea, you won't learn much and you'll have just wasted your time.

Go for a walk, watch TV for a while, listen to some music, have a cup of tea... do whatever relaxes you. Then, when you're ready to hit the books again, shut off ALL the distractions (yes, that includes Y!A) and concentrate on what you're doing.
Good luck with the studying, and with the exam.

None of the above ideas really work effectively. Try this instead. Divide what you have to study in to very small units. You should actually do this division before the "mood" change set in. Now since each piece of study you have complete is manageable, and since you can feel the sense of achievement when you finish each piece, your mind will be tricked in to studying every single piece.

If there is no time left to do this now, you can take a small piece of what you have to study further and finish it now. Don’t think about the rest. If you think as a whole about what all you need to finish, you will not find the mood to finish anything.

Take TEN MINUTES to do something INDULGENT.
take a bath
go for a walk
read a book
listen to music
surf the internet
etc....
That was for YOU in the NOW
THEN
get into your studies and ENJOY it just as MUCH
cause
that will give you MUCH MORE OPPORTUNITY in the future TO INDULGE yourself.

It is all about ATTITUDE.
In the mood or not, approach it with the right attitude and you will have a better result.

Tell your brain he's going to be supporting himself if he doesn't cooperate. Living under a bridge is a *****. Your friends just won't like visiting.
