I am not a religious nut trying to down the theory of Evolution.
I am a firm believer.

I am just curious as to why there are not hundreds of thousands of skeletons of these other species in the Homo genus. Can they be destroyed through erosion or some other means?

You know the more I think about the meaning of life, the more I tend to think it's not really the precious gift were always told it is. I think it's more of a lucky break. I mean we all could have been aborted by our mothers. Our potential lives could have taken like that. If we didn't exist would it be that big of deal. A baby can live and die within the exact same ten minutes of its birth. I'm 21, I haven't done anything of impotance with my life yet. If I die tomorrow, will I be that big of a loss to this world? Won't someone else just take my place and do what I suppose with anyway? I mean yes there's emotional baggage for those who we left behind but were gone. The world will keep on going no problem.Is life a precious gift? or is it just a stroke of luck?Are we here to enjoy and the treasure the experience? Or steal just from it what we can, until our time up? For me it ALL comes back to one question. Are we as humans important to this world?

I am constantly haunted by the number 56. I see it at least 5 times a day! I had a recent change in religion, and I don't know if it is a sign that I was right or wrong but it scares me. I have broken down crying or shaking uncontrollably by just this number. Has it happened to you?

Inflation: increase in money supply, and a cause of higher prices in products.
Deflation: decrease in money supply, and a cause of lower prices in products.

Inflation reduces the purchasing power of money. You pay more for the same product. Savers lose, because their money buys less. People have to borrow money to buy things. Economy runs on debt. Poor people suffer most, since their limited amount of money can buy less and less. Middle class shrinks as they drown in debt and go bankrupt. Banks have to lend more money to keep the economy rolling. More debt causes more bankruptcies. This creates an inflationary spiral.

Deflation increases the purchasing power of money. People hoard money and borrow less. Economy takes a nose-dive because people don't spend as much money. Unemployment increases. Many jobless people roam the country. This creates even less people spending money. The country goes into a deflationary spiral

Why is it that i just cant be myself when i am out in public, i feel really afraid of strangers, when they look at me i feel intimidated and look away, i feel everyone thinks i am odd and dislike me, i am a social outcast but i think i am attractive and have many good qualities i dont think others see that though, maybe i am approval seeking i dont know but i just want to be liked by other people, i get anxious though and put on acts and dont speak often to others but when i do i put on acts and pretend, what can i do'?

Stop asking so many question? I ask questions on here on every type of subject that have NOTHING to do with me or anyone else. Some people on here told me I'm mentally ill because of that. Are they right? They aren't personal questions like How many times do you(insert something sick and personal).

My gf of 2 years dumped be on Friday for a guy she had not even met yet (through myspace). SHe said I was always good to her, but she was thinking of something different. I sort of instigated this break up too (thats what I keep telling myself). Anyway, we didn't talk for a few days, but then on Sunday I wrote to her saying that breaking up was hard and I didn't want her to leave, but I was going to let her go. She said she met the guy and "everything is good thus far." So I didn't write back for a few days, and today I get an email from her just asking me how things are going, how my new book is, etc. She also told me that she still hasn't found a job and she is excited/nervous about going to Vegas this weekend. Well, my grandma told me this dream she had about me.
I was running around, and my aunt had some pretty scarf/shirt that was blowing around in the wind, and i was trying to catch it.
Then, it suddenly fell into a river where I dove in and I never came back. My grandma was asking people to help her because i was drowning.
Could this be a message to me saying "don't fall for something worthless that might not belong to you"?

My son is a very talented athelete. It just comes natually to him. We have had several people tell us that what our son does at 10 years old on the football field can not be taught that they just have to have it and he does! But he has the worst attitude and it is getting in the way of his ability to play. He started this year playing running back on offense and tight end on defense, and was the best on the team when he would give it his all. But if something does not go right and he gets tackled or misses a tackle you can just hang it up. It's like he just throws in the towel. Now he has been replaced in the running back position. I have talked to my son several times telling him we just want him to have fun, that we don't expect him him to be perfect we just expect him to be dedicated. What can I say to my son to make him realize that this bad attitude is not getting him anywhere.

I'm asking this, because I've often noticed that you can have a lot in common with a person and think that the person is physically good-looking, yet still not be attracted to him/her. hi.. i havent seen or heard from my ex boyfriend in 2 months...last night i went to some lounge by me with my friend and i saw my ex kissing some girl...im not going to lie, even though i moved on, it did bother me a bit...after he hooked up with her he was by the bar by himself so i went up to him and said hi and we started talking...after that i saw some guy who i knew and we started talking (thats all, i didnt hook up with him or anything)...i saw my ex staring at us that he even came up to me while i was talking to the other guy...after that i walked out with my friend and that guy and his friend and i kno my ex saw it bc he tried getting my attention..then he calls me and leaves a message on my voicemail saying "i want you" but ur with another guy".. i get a call from him the next day apologizing to me if he said anything bad the night before cause he was drunk. then he asked me how i been? and what ive been up to? i mean seriously what does he want from me??

With at least three somewhat recent examples to cite, and using the logic that is often displayed here in GWS, I guess I could conclude that all republican males secretly want to have sex with male prostitutes, pages or men in public washrooms.

How legitimate is it to draw conclusions about an entire gender based upon isolated incidents found in the news? In their every day lives, do those people who make such accusations on this forum use the same kind of generalizations? If so...how is it working for you?
