I'm interested in studying the languages both with an alphabet and with symbols-semiotics?-of ancient civilizations, particularly religious studies. Does anyone have an idea of what my undergrad and graduate degrees should be? Or at least have suggestions? Thanks...

I have this recurring dream where I am at the top of a HUGELY tall escalator. A I try to walk down, the steps 'heal over' and the escalator turns into a really frightening slide. I am desperately trying to cling on to the rail, but to no avail...I come crashing down it

I also have a similar dream where I am walking down the corridoors of the tube station (subway) and the same thing happens, the floor turns into a steep slide and it's even worse as there is no rail to hold onto!!

Can you help interpret what this means

in my dream, she died but i dinbt know how she die. her body was in my old apartment. my other co-workers were also there.
i havent spoken to her ever since she left.

I just don't believe that most people think about the consequences of pro-creation. Without us, the world is much cleaner, nature works in sync with itself and senseless killing is almost completely unheard of.

I'm not asking about the ghetto mothers that have 8 children running around like animals, with 4 different fathers they don't know. That's just the animal nature that's a product of living in excess.

But I do believe that the more intelligent humans know, in the back of their heads, that pro-creation can not exist forever without a means of balance, and it's getting closer to a time when the people outnumber the resources. We just don't seem to have a solution, most people haven't even thought about it with any seriousness.

So what's your reason to reproduce?

Ok just so you know...I KNOW...but wondering how many people actually know what it means....

And if you are just looking it up...are you surprised at what it means? LOL

It's an interesting science...I would never have known that there was such a thing years back.

If you are one or have an understanding of it, why do you think it's so important in today's world?

What is the best way overcome racism?

1.Educate your self and your children?
2.Visit minorities so you can be happy you don't live like they do?
3.Focus on serious social issues rather than fads and trends?

The dream starts off as me being an army soldier. I'm running away from this white dude, also an army soldier, because I know if he touches me I will die. So I run, but fall, I tried to crawl like a baby but I couldn't. When I got back up I figured that I was carrying too much weight on me, since soldiers usually do. So I tooked off my jacket to run faster because he was getting near me. For some reason I run into a deep-hole pit thing and he catches up to me. I cry and tell him that I don't want to die alone so he touches me, which kills me, but he guides my soul to another place so I won't have to be alone. For the rest of the dream I am a ghost around my family members but only my twin sister really notices me. Another dream I had was about my grandmother, who's deceased. In the dream she had a young face and I asked her how she was doing about 5 times.
Can you interpret those dreams for me?

So I work in a hospital. This lady came in with this 7-year-old little girl. The age requirement to visit a patient is 12. The mom went in the room and the little girl waited for her sister to come out.

When the sister came out she held the door open and said, "Shes too young to come in? She was there yesterday".

I said, "Either way, we would still have to ask the nurse".

She said, "What ever". She grabbed her sister and said, "Come on mamas, theyre stupid. Thats why you cant see your grandma".

Would you still call the nurse and ask for permission, or would you not even bother?

If this is true, why is there so much pressure on the youth of today to lose their virginity as quickly as possible? If it's not as satisfying as the person had initially thought it would be, why is it the ONLY thing they try to do as much as possible now? If you watch a movie after hearing a LOT of hype about it only to find out that it's incredibly mediocre, you don't have much desire to see it again at least until it come out to DVD, right?

Another point on the subject, people fear the prospect of not having sex with your future spouse until AFTER you marry him/her because there's the theory that the future spouse is terrible in bed. If it turns out that he/she is, couldn't the two of you just practice until your game is honed just like you would with countless other partners? The whole "test-drive before you buy the car" arguement is a stupid one.

Or do I just not get it at all?
