You have any talent? I'm sure you must be blessed with one --- think about, taking it a long way!

First you have to get decent grades in school. You didn't say how old you are, but I'm guessing about early teens or younger. Then after grade school and high school, you go to college and major in pre med. Then you go to medical school and get a background in general medicine before you can study a specialty like psychiatry. It's going to take a lot of intensive study and lots of years before you achieve this goal. Keep in mind, however, that since you're still pretty young, you may change your mind several more times before you actually know what you want to be. But if you still want to be a psychiatrist, be prepared for years of hard work. Good luck!

Ask the guidance counselor at you school. Some schools give tests that point out careers that you would be very good at based on your natural talents.
