I can specifically remember learning about an experiment that involved infants crawling between two tables that had a clear bridge between them. The purpose was to determine if the infants could sense the danger and if they would avoid the possibility of falling. I would like the correct answer based on the pshychological theory and experiment, not just an opinion - thanks!

I have some traumatic memories from childhood which involve 'mild' sexual abuse at the hands of my father. I have tried to supress those memories and not to deal with them but they surface every now and again. Needless to say I have been estranged from my father for a long time now and I think he is mentally ill person who needs help but is too arrogant to go seek it.

It is sad because if not for this, i could see me and him being great friends. We both have an intellectual streak and share alot of the same interests.

I asked twice "If you had a time travel machine, would you travel to the future, past or prefer to stay in present? and why?"
And most answers I got were "past" some were "future" but noone chose "present"
Why everyone hates his present life? why life is being harder and harder?

By the way, if i was asked this question i'd also chose past to change mistakes.

I've been excited lately to see the Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty. Finally, a corporation is telling women that beauty comes in all races, all ages, all shapes, and all sizes. Are there any other companies you have seen that gives positive messages to women? I want to buy more from pro-woman businesses, rather than ones that tell women they should look like Barbie dolls.

I am only 19 and I am clinically depressed have been for a long time although I am getting help now. Well I felt really down this morning and went into my voluntary work at the hospital with league of friends, well Brian who I work with is lovely all so I thought until today, he tried to cheer me up but then before I knew it he was kissing me and had his hands down my trousers. What should I do, should I tell someone, I am too scared to go back there now but it is not right for a man to do that to me and he kept saying things to me that make me think it's o.k and he then added it's our little secret,

I can only think of 2 examples from movies.

1)Spider-man 2 Spider-man lost his power due psychologically to the stress of MJ being in love. When he had to save her his powers returned since he was determined to save her but while he was stressed over her he lost his powers.

2. Many people say they saw Bambi's mother get shot in the movie this is not true and people just think they did. I guess I'd call it mind games and it affected your psyche(mind) so you THINK you saw the mom get shot.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. :-)
