you must not have kids.out of sight is alway's on the mind..I have read there is a difference for men and woman as distance makes the heart grow fonder for woman but out of sight out of mind is more true for men and distance makes there hearts grow less fonder...I think it depends on the person male or female we can control our thoughts.

That's not all true. Beause "You never miss the water, till the well runs dry".
Sometime out of sight, out of mind, helps because you are around all sorts of different stimulations and your mind somehow forgets the past.

survival technique... it's just a screen to help us focus on what we are dealing with directly.. we have upper level functioning.. and as such are one of the few species on the planet (yes. there are a couple others that can do this on a simple level) that can plan for the future... but our brain naturally gives more focus to the world of now because right now is when we have to survive.
