To a great extent, the conscience has this status. It certainly can be silenced, bent, manipulated and corrupted, but whatever we do, conscience always keeps a degree of independance, and it may at any time remember its original standards and produce sensations of shame and guilt. No matter how determined we may be to reprogramme the conscience, and conform it to what we want to think is right, is has a habit of recovering its independance.
A troubled conscience may result in forms of mental anguish not readily connected with one's behaviour. A person may suddenly be overtaken by un unfathomable sense of unease, or of emptiness, purposelessness and despair. Someone may be suffer from deep depression (though a troubled conscience is by no means the only cause of depression).

There is only one way of easing the trouble conscience, and that is by obtaining forgiveness from the Lord of the conscience.

I have had alot of dreams since I was a child. But when I have black dreams this means someone close to me will be dieing shortly. Sometimes I know who. And sometimes not...

My Dad was killed at work...I knew something bad was going to happen that day.I just didn't see who it was. But I knew he was gone when they called and said he'd been hurt at work.

I had surgery 3 weeks later.Lost a baby.I seen him with the baby and a little girl so sweet.I asked my mom had they ever lost a baby. She looked just like my sister. My sister look at me. We didn't talk for a few years. She had lost a baby. She burst into tears.
Sometimes I don't even like to sleep. I'm afaid of what I might see or not see.

One night I had a dream my daughter was drowning and I couldn't save her. Woke up out of a deep sleep crying. The next week we found out she was a type1 diabetic..When she gave herself her first shot. I remember her saying in my dream. I'ts okay it dose'nt hurt that bad. Anyone like me

I am so tired of being lied to and deceived. I don't understand why everyone can't just tell the truth and deal with it.

Psychology tries to pass itself off as science but of all the sciences, this is the most subjective field which makes the most vague predictions that "may or may not" be true.

The human mind is too complex for the human mind to completely understand itself. It is even more difficult to compare and contrast minds. Creating a model which explains the actions of all minds is even more difficult. Then they try to create a model for what is considered a "normal and healthy mind." This sounds more like mind control than a search for the truth.

Why do psychologists do all of this and try to pass themselves off as real scientists? They can study trends in human behavior but they cannot tell you the true cause of any behavior, nor can they accurately predict human behavior.

If psychology is a true science, then why can't they cure violence? Would you want a cure for violence? This entire field seems quack. If anyone is equipped to explain how I feel, it's me, not someone else.

When a male hit's a woman he's labled as an abuser and a bad person. I have never, and nor do I ever plan to hit a woman in my life. But, if I feel like my life or someone else's life is at risk, I will not hesitate to knock a woman out.

A few decades ago women burned their bras and fought for equality with men. Today we are almost equal.

Why is it that so many women want to stay home? Their goal in life is "to be hot", to find a "husband" and "to be a good wife"?!?

What is going on?

Ladies, what would you think of a man who wants to be a homemaker? I'm sure if something like Mr. Mom happened to you you could switch roles, but what if you met a man who said that he wanted to stay at home taking care of the chores and the kids while his wife went out to make the money. Would you be attracted to such a man? Would you think he has his priorities straight? Would his attitude be refreshingly liberating? Or would you think he was a lazy loafer with no drive?

No ulterior motives here. The thought just occurred that men unquestioningly without hesitation accept the responsibility to support a wife and family. I wonder what women feel about taking on that role.

People say that one should work smart and not only hard. In my case i think i am hard worker but i do not work smart enough. I put too much pressure on myself and do things which other people think is not required. For example, if i do a presentation i will make 6 slides with lots of information. On the other hand my fellow student will make 1 slide with little information but we both get the same grade. It is because my presentation is long therefore i make more mistakes. I hope you understand what i mean.
