1). Patriotism means to me to stand firm for what your country stands for. It doesn't mean fighting or killing but rather stand up for it.
2). I would fight for America yes but only on it's own soil. I do not believe in going to other countries and fighting. To me that is disrespectful.
3). I do believe in patriotism and although I strongly support my country I can do so as i respect others as well.

You are probably not going to like my answers, but I decided to answer since it is for a project.

1) To me patriotism means helping your country by being a good neighbor, helping those in need, taking care of the earth and things like that.

2) No, I am not willing to fight for America. To fight for America, you need to be willing to kill another person. I don't believe it is ever ok to kill anyone for any reason. I would not even kill to save myself.

3) I believe in my definition of patriotism as I stated above, but most people would not consider me patriotic.

Our former President Kennedy said it all: Ask not what your County can do for you, ask what you can do for your Country"
I've lived by these words. I owe my Country for so much, after all the complaining, the taxes, the high cost of gasoline, the cost of the doctors calls, etc, I'm free to choose. That's what it's all about.

In '66 I went to 'Nam, for two tours. After the first one I thought I was crazy to re up for a second but, my County needed me.
We have the right to ask "why" and get an answer.
My father spent two years in Europe, I felt I owed him for what he did for us.
All our young men and women are giving their lives and health for us now, what can we give back to them?
