Films like the Demon Seed, the Terminator series of films, I Robot, or even going back as far as Forbidden Planet, which is slightly different but along the same lines, do they show that evolution is not so much about 'caring and sharing' at any level of the food chain. but more about surpassing that which has gone before, by eliminating that which is weaker than that which evolves after it.

If you want to be a good person - doesn't that tend to leave you vulnerable.

If you want to be an evil person - doesn't that tend to make OTHERS vulnerable to you.

Like the various sci fi films I have mentioned depict - if we make machines that eventually surpass our own intelligence, isn't that parallel to the dinosaurs versus the mammels?

'Might is right' - is that the bottom line in life - or do we have the power to overcome this mechanism in nature, which seems that it is inevitable that it will threaten our future as a species - ironically in our case by our own hands?

The choices in life are the same. Do we really have many choice or are the same choices that have been there since the dawn of man keep repeating. Its like we are in a loop, you can be good or bad. Live life to the fullest, or not. Have kids, not have kids. It seems there is a limit to our choices.

Does it make sense or just sound like crap? Do you think you could really miss your twin that died before you had the mental capacity to recognize that he/she existed?

My husband bought a drain cleaner called Liquid Fire that is a concentrated form of sulfuric acid. He said we would probably have to wait until the kids were out of the house. I asked him if it was because it smelled bad, and he said "Yeah.". I told him we should at least wait until the kids went to bed. So the kids are in bed, and he used it. The whole front prtion of our house smells like this stuff. This was an hour ago. At the moment I am dizzy from breathing it and feel like I am going to vomit. I read the label and it says nothing about any harmful effects of breathing the fumes, only skin contact and eye contact, and swallowing. So what's going on? Is it really safe to be breathing this? Anyone know anything about sulfuric acid?

I know this is the wrong category, but I asked this under health, and I'm not getting any answers. I decided to stick to my main crowd.

At 11:30PM, I pulled into my drive way and parked outside of my house. My house is huge with 1 acre of grass, and along with the parking lot, there are trees and large bushy plants. When I got out of my car, I locked it, and I heard a low manly voice saying my name in a rushed but slow tone. I turned around, and I was so scared because the voice sounded so terrifying. It came from the bushes and the trees, Then I heard it again, except this time he whispered my name. I am absolutely terrified, I ran up to my door and opened it and locked it behind me. I am so scared I don't know what to do. I turned on all the outside property lights, but I did not see anyone. Now I'm not even sure if I heard the voices, I could have sworn I did though... What should I do?! I never heard voices like this before.

I've read that women are capable of experiencing multiple orgasms. (I'm jealous...) I've received an answer that the average maximum number of times a man can masturbate within a 24 hour time frame is 6. (The most I've ever done was 5) I'd like to know what the maximum number of times a woman can masturbate within a 24 hour time frame.

I work in a residential place for the mentally ill. I read through cases and cases of young mentally ill people and it's quite shocking what kind of things happen: Stabbings, suicide attempts, sexual acts, rape, biting, fighting with staff, trying to harm stuff, verbal assaults, etc etc.

It's understandable because of the mental problems but does it mean then, that regular people can never have a good friendship with a mentally ill person because that person might kill us or do something really bad to us?
