I guess because they never know whether people feel love or lust for them... And maybe it's just difficult in general to figure out what love is if they have been an object of lust all their lives.

As a beautiful woman, I can't say that I've ever felt used or had a difficult time finding love.

You can't assume that less attractive women don't get used. My best guess is that if a person is a doormat, it has little to do with her looks and more to do with an overly accommodating personality and a lack of self confidence. People with a strong sense of self just aren't victimized in that way.

Physical attraction is always in play when selecting someone. We expect a man to have the same confidence we have. Physical beauty is one thing but internal beauty is another. Some people have both. Look at Heidi Klum.

I don't think the beauties get used more than non-beauties, nor do I think they're more superficial. They have a different perspective, just like a wealthy man does.

I do think it's easier for someone who's blessed in the looks department to "filter" through people faster for no other reason than this: They get more responses, there's more applications, more suitors .. therefore, more rejection. Does tend to intimidate, but that works for both sexes. More opportunity is what I'm driving at .. and the good and bad that come with it.

In the end they end up with one another because they have a shared perspective. It isn't harder to find for them.. it's just hard in general. People have such high expectations the divorce rate is laughable and marriage vows a mockery.

I've known quite spectacular beautiful people - and some of the vainest people I've ever known would shock you with their plainness. So, try looking in them and not at them, beautiful or not. Covers and books, covers and books.

And a better question might be: Why does anyone get used, regardless of their looks or gender?

Because most men find it difficult to get past their physical beauty and realize beautiful women (many) have very intelligent minds also. Just look for a different class of men, or change the places you are looking. God bless****

Because all the cocky jerks hook up with them.....they don't get approached by the less cocky, decent guys. Maybe beautiful girls should make the first move if they are interested in a "nice" guy. Most nice guys aren't vain enough to figure they are in the same league as beautiful women. Along with nice usually goes a little modesty.

Well in my opinion some are very superficial & go after money & not love. Beauty fades & dumb is forever could be a factor as well. I also think some men are too intimidated by beautiful women & just don't pursue them. There's also that old saying, beauty is only skin deep. Don't get me wrong, I love beautiful women. I don't like superficial, high maintenance women or gold diggers.

Maybe because they think too much about beauty and forget to look past it, you have to love your whole self, to love others, if you are stuck on just being beautiful you are overlooking many things. Everyone is beautiful in the eyes of the one that loves them. How about just concentrating on being the best person you can be, not the prettiest.
