Is it something we learned as babies from mimicking our parents?(this is what my husband beleives), or is it just a natural physical reaction to these emotions?(This is what I beleive, although I do see his point.)

My boyfriend isn't affectionate at all. We kiss and hug, but not as often as I'd like. We don't hold hands, but we do cuddle on occasion. We have been together for 3 years, and in the beginning he was more affetionate, but that has steadily declined other the last year and half. We have a great relationship in other aspects. We get along well, enjoy laughs and we definetly love each other. But, the lack of affection bothers me. When I bring it up, he tells me that I know he's not an over touchy feel kind of guy. I respect that, but sometimes I just need to feel that comfort.

Does he have an intimacy problem? For what I know of his past releationship it ended badly. His ex cheated on him after being together for two years, and the rest of the time she was somewhat mainpulative.

Could that have something to do with it? Need Serious Advice Only!!

Lets say..you have a really cute avatar, i feel you're most likely eligable to get selected for a best answer than someone who is ugly. Its like you would prefer to give money to a man in a suit, than someone who looks rug-ged?

I feel like I can't think anymore. I don't feel as sharp and fast as I did at the beggining of the school year, and it like my worst fear is coming true- to wake up one day and suddenly be stupid. I'm feel really scared and worried. I don't know what's wrong. I just want to cry sometimes. I know the student I once was and I'm so far away from myself. I can't. I don't. I don't know what to do. Help?

Given the choice in a spouse/lover, would you choose someone who is strikingly beautiful or deeply thoughtful (intelligent)? And the obvious, why?

Some obvious ground rules:

- No, you cannot have both.
- Yes, I know this is the Women's Studies section. I want a real answer, not one from a malecontent child.
- Male or Female participants welcome
- This is not a stupid people vs. pretty people question, take the hate elsewhere please.
