Does psychology consider it a disorder to believe that you have been given gifts and talents from God to share with others to make this world a better place?

I wouldn't see why it would be a disorder. Religion is a big part of any person and if it was a disorder, most people would have it. If you feel this way, keep thinking of it as a gift, not a disorder.

Who cares want psychology thinks. If God gives you a talent, use it, or He will give it to someone else. This world needs a lot of God's people working to make it better.

No, it's only a disorder if you shun clean clothes and showers and never wear shoes while you preach on the corners holding strange signs.

If you've been given a gift, use it!

I doubt it. In fact, I think it's great when people think that, as long as they don't brag about it constantly. I feel everyone has a great possible purpose and gift given to them. It's the person's choice on whether or not they want to use that gift or purpose, though.

I see no reason why someone would not consider it a mental illness to think a diety has given you a divine mission. But, as said above, the best way to dispell someones illusion is the ask for proof.
