the definition of a peninsula is . A body of land surrounded on 3 sides with water. Being a land extension of Eurasia, it has water on 3 sides.
On the peninsula of Europe there are five large peninsulas. The Iberian; Spain and Portugal, Italy is a separt peninsula, the Peloponnese; Greece, Scandinavian; Norway and Sweden and Jutland; Denmark.

If you look on the map you will see that Europe is surround by water on three sides and has many peninsulas with in the peninsula of the Continent of europe
