Why do we smile when we are happy?

Question

Is it something we learned as babies from mimicking our parents?(this is what my husband beleives), or is it just a natural physical reaction to these emotions?(This is what I beleive, although I do see his point.)

There's evidence that it's a natural reaction to a certain stimuli or situation.It's not learned from parents, or anybody.
