I feel like I can't think anymore. I don't feel as sharp and fast as I did at the beggining of the school year, and it like my worst fear is coming true- to wake up one day and suddenly be stupid. I'm feel really scared and worried. I don't know what's wrong. I just want to cry sometimes. I know the student I once was and I'm so far away from myself. I can't. I don't. I don't know what to do. Help?

Stupidity is ignorance, not fear. A stupid person wouldn't be afraid of being stupid.

Girl, I've felt that way my entire 21 years of living. No joke. Only the reason is different from yours. I was being told I was stupid my whole life. Since I was 5, my mom has always told me that, and for all of these years I've never built self-esteem, self-confidence, I am very cautious when trying new things (or I just won't try them at all, because I think I'm not good enough to). The only thing I've found that helped was talking to a counceler. I think they are one of the best (among many) people to talk to. They don't judge you, they have no pre-conceived knowledge about the "real" you, they listen and literally are there to help you help yourself. I reccommend seeing one, you'll never regret it, and afterwards, (if you're completely honest with yourself) you will be back to that point where you used to be: Happy! Let me know what ya think?

Guess what? Your not alone! I went through the same thing. When i was younger I brought home all A pluses. Then my grades started dropping. My parents were not dissapointed in my, but i was dissapointed enough for all of us. The thing I realized was that I'm not getting stupider, school was just getting harder! I realized that i was not as organized as i should be and made an extra effort. I got a tutor (not that bad at all!) and started studying more in advance. Tell me if this helps : ) Let me know how you are doing and if you have any more advice... !

First step is to go see your GP and get a physical done (i.e. diabeties can make you feel like this.

Secondly - eating a balanced diet helps with your energy levels or alternatively take supplements for vitamins etc

Thirdly - make yourself a 'to do' and get to it i.e. join a sport club or chores around the house (with the right motivation you will be compelled to achieve the task)

Last but not least - if you have been studying all year then perhaps subconsciously wanting to rest ... so rest ... take a year off and try something else

Yeh, it sounds like you are working too hard and aren't taking enough time off to find yourself again. You can relax with a drink or better don't use artificial stimulants and do some exercise or something that will switch you off for a while - then you will come back rejuvenated.

I also think you should take Truth D's advice... there may be a physical element to what you are experiencing.

too much thinking. Learn at your own pace for a while and then when u feel sharp again, try catching up. Your brain is giving you a warning to stop stressing. You're taking it the wrong way. Relax, enjoy life for a while. Be a party girl. When you feel youre ready to learn again, just do it.

OMG! I was thinking this exact same thing the other day. All of a sudden I wasn't quick or creative. But I had some peaceful God time and I'm all better.
If you're not a Christian then... Umm.. Well in that case I don't have much of an answer for you.

Get enough sleep!
You should tell your parents about this or someone! Your getting depressed and I know its not fun! You just need a brake off! You need to have a brake then every time your teacher gives you something to do then you should go up to them and ask them if they can help you! If they cant then ask your parents if they can get you someone 2 help!
