i have exhausted hard work as an option . i just cant get ahead in life and relationships . i am 36 and in india . what is the value of positive thinking ?

Positive thinking does work. It may seem like a last hope, but I believe that positive thinking can make a bad situation better.

Positive thinking only works if it's followed up by positive action. You need to figure out what is wrong in your life and make those corrections. Sometimes, it takes an outsider or friend to point out exactly why you have not been able to accomplish certain things in your life. I have to say, though, a person who has a positive attitude towards life is a lot more attractive to everyone.

Yes, it works..... People of certain 'religious groups' believe that they have been reincarnated to live a horrible life, I'm not going to mess with that belief system, but it is just a fact that those who believe that they should have nice things- get nice things..... Now, how is it that westerners who believe in positive thought- get nice things? If they were supposed to have bad things happen to them then how could they refute karma?
Come one, everyone in India is gaining education and getting more money and so are their children. So- if *every*one is getting more money then karma must say that this is what it desires. I.e.- if you help yourself then karma helps you too. You know masses believe this in India now.

Yes, it does work. Besides, if you have negative thoughts and expectations the outcome will be a self-fulfilled prophecy of negativity. Stay in control with positive thinking.
