Isn't it true, most of us women who have had children would not be alive if not for modern medicine? There have been plenty of women we would consider strong who died durring pregnancy, before modern medicine. The fact is, our bodies really can't take the pain and suffering of pregnancy. If not for modern medicine, over 50% of us who have had children would be dead. Am I right?

If we catch Bin Laden alive, I wonder what will happen when we put him alone in a dark room with nothing but a television.

As for the mental sample of "what the outside world is like", playing MTV repeatidly many hours to him, and observing his reaction in the end.

What do you think he would say?

Saw "Akeelah and the Bee" and would like to substitute a Geography Bee - not Spelling Bee - any suggestions?
Does a movie or a board game about a world without borders and wars have any hope of becoming popular? First response – As for a board game like that... it's hard to say. The only similar game I can think of would be Civilization (the computer game adapted to a board game), and even that's quite different. My guess is that it wouldn't be a household name like Monopoly, though.

I need some insight here. I work with this guy and he is making me crazy! About a week ago we were getting along fine - everything normal. During a chat he casually suggested that we should go out for a drink some time. I said I'd like that. We are both unattached and reasonably attractive. He starts giving me the intense eye contact stuff (which I gladly return) and things go well for a while, though we never actually make specific plans to go out. Now, suddenly, he is acting like I am completely invisible. I don't mean he doesn't notice me, I mean he is actually blowing me off. He borders on polite if I approach him about a work-related question, but otherwise acts like he is trying to block me out of his vision. What has happened? Do guys just act this way? If he isn't interested in dating me that is fine, but why the sudden frosty treatment? I can't think of anything that has happened to warrant it. Any suggestions?

OK, just a little back ground on me and who I am, I am fifteen, thus I lie awake at night thinking of deep questions that affect the world. Anyway, my question is about going back in time. Now, my question isn't how to accomplish this, or what would happen. My question is, if one went back in time, would the future not already be changed. So, being that the future has already been changed, the person would not have to go back in time in the beggining. It would seem like a cycle, but either way, it does not seem at all possible. But I would like to hear opinions on this subject. So, fire away.

I'm 18yrs., I'm a freshmen at UIC, I have a good job, my own 2bedroom apt. , and I have a 4yr. old little girl whom I live for. I'm am a Beliezian male but you would only know if I told you. In other words I look as if I'm black. I dress in baggy clothes, jordans, 2earrings, a due rag, braids and I wear hats. My hats are always to the left because.... Well thats just my style. Anyway, theres a gas station near my school, owned by a white family. I always buy gas there and mabey a few snacks. One day I really had to use the restroom. So insted of peeing on the side of the gas station, I asked to use the restroom. They to me it was out of order. I didn't believe them so I asked a colse friend (white male) to ask the same question while I hide. Would you believe me if I told you the restroom was ''all of a sudden'' BACK IN ORDER??!!
