Doesn't "phobia" imply that the fear is irrational? If that's the case, then there is no such phobia. Seems to me that a fear of wasps and bees is totally rational.

Yes. Read Ruth Rendell's novel To Fear a Painted Devil. It is a story of a man who got phobia on bee.
