Most people like to have fun by having fun, goofing off, and cracking jokes a majority of the time.
I am different. I have the most fun by being serious, having intellectual conversations, and keeping it real. I'd rather sit down and discuss philosophy or life in general, than listen to a stand up routine.
If you are the joke cracking, carefree, goof around type, I'm not going to condescend you for it. I might not be able to relate to you, or enjoy what you're doing, but at least I will let you be who you are.
Why is it then that people cannot treat me the same way I would treat them? People are always getting on my case telling me I need to lighten the **** up and trying to change who I am. WTF? What's so terrible about being sincere? Why can't people let me be me?
