People who have multiple cats and/or are more engrossed with their cat(s) than normal pet owners seem to have a certain characteristic to their personality that I just can't describe. There also seems to be a relationship between these folks and latex allergies. I know it sounds crazy but I work in a hospital and see from 20-40 different patients daily. There are strange similarities among the "cat people" and latex allergy patients. Quite a few of these "cat people" are also latex allergy patients. Just curious if anyone else out there has noticed any of this?

It seems many people's answers are informed by their religious beliefs which have not been verified by science. In the Western World its Christianity mostly (in its various forms), in the Middle East its Islam, India you got the Hindus. and Asia has Buddhists and so on.

Certainly there are limits to science at this time and many scientists are pretty arrogant about what they don't know, but just b/c there's wisdom in the Bible or Koran or Sutra's does not prove any1's beliefs.
Ultimately it seems know no 1 knows for sure and the reason many believe in the afterlife is the desire or fear as to not be nonexistant after we die.
A girl (whose friend I think killed herself) told me once that dead people live on in their "loved one's" memories. That seems like small consolation if your nonexistant but who knows maybe she's right.
Science should investigate this more.

Behind the safety of computers, people act like they wouldn't act in daily life. Is this anonymity a good thing or a negative thing?

I used to laid all the time in college (away from home). But now, I live in NYC where all the girls seem stuck up and want some rich dude. I am 30 too, and I haven't gotten any in the longest. I've been stuck in a Gov't job for 6 years, that made me miserable; and with high rents and all, didn't allow me for much "clubbing" money. I don't have that much disposable income anyway, even with my new job; or any friends for that matter.

It actually went to college and got a job, while they all just did was they're doing is the High School thing; and are still doing it. I can't have that . . .

Anyway, accosting women on the street seems tough -- especially when you're not that extroverted or confident. (aside from my big on, I have nothing, although that should be enough)

I am not talking about certain stereotypes, but just to stereotype things in general as a form of helping us survive. Coming from our animal parts of our brains, we learn that if we had a bad experience with eating a certain type of berry we stay away from any berry that reminds us of that berry. That is stereotyping!

In nature there are several animals who sole defense mechinism is to simply look like another animal that is poisonous.

Even in other aspects of our lives we are stereotyping but calling it "a learning experience". If a "shifty looking salesman" sells you some bad goods, you are then leary of the next "shifty looking salesman".

So how can we stop something we are programmed to do?

Whenever I ask questions in regards to the differences between men and women in certain areas, I get a lot of these types of answers but no one ever gives examples of why men are ******* to them. It can't all be from observation.

My boyfriend recentry triedto break up with me but didn't want to. He only did it because i was pushing him to e someone that he wasn't and now i regret that a lot. But the thing is i have been waking up every morning feeling guilty abou teverything. Like homework that i don't get and that i'm too tired to resolve but i eventually do. And things like do i really want to be with this guy anymore? It doesnt' feel like it did before. Maybe i'm just afraid that i wont find someone else and that i'm afraid to let go of all the memories? I have also been feeling guity about not going to youth group tonight and instead going to bowling but i don't want to do that either go bowling i mean. I don't know why. Maybe i need to look to god and friends for answers. Also recently i have been having a lot of stress because i have been going to the doctor for a series of tests on my kidney which has not been functioning properly. Please tell me what i mightbe going through. I can't stand the pain.

Think about it in this way, if your given the death penalty it's over and done with, your slate is clean. If you go to prison for life and they let you out after 30-40 years what kind of life will you have? "When they send you to prison for life, that's exactly what they take. The part that counts anyway." quoted of Red from Shawshank Redemption. In my humble opinion it would be better to execute someone. That is pretty much what you have done anyway by letting them stay in prison that long. Think what your life would be like if you were seperated from a normal society for that length of time. What could you possibly have to offer when you come out at age 60? How would you survive? Everyone you knew is either dead or forgot about you long ago. What kind of hell would that be?
