It's ok for a lot of psychological disorders but don't smoke it. Use a vaporizer. It's healthier and saves you money in the long run because it doesn't waste the THC.

I know and have known more potheads than not and too many of them qualify as borderline psychiatric cases to overlook the fact that there is no likelihood that pot helps them achieve stability of any sort.

If you are committed to dying, and the idea that your life will never mean more than it does now, then smoke your brains out.

I'm sick of all this medical marijuana nonsense, pain heals more people than pot.

On the other side of the coin, I do believe that marijuana can be a wonderful spiritual aide when used, well, about once a month. It can open the mind to a form of vision that would be impossible without years of devoted practice and lifestyle modification.

But the next day it is gone and you have to rebuild your body from the damage it causes to the brain and endocrine system, which really takes weeks to do. And this is exactly why it is no good for sick people.

There is every likelihood that the beneficial facets of this herb will someday, if not already, be extracted and available for a wide variety of diseases.

But don't let your friends trick you into thinking getting stoned will help anything.

A bipolar person has tendencies which allow them to become addicted to things easily, so that alone is bad. But also, it's all about mood. Marijuana effects the mood and changes the chemical in the body...a bipolar person doesn't need that quick change. For them, it could cause paranoi, anger, or depression more than it would an average person. A person with this disorder is already predisposed to having problems with alcohol and drugs, so this really wouldn't be a good idea.

well i dont know how much my answer is going to mean to u seeing as how most who know me persieve me as a pothead but wtf why not?!
pot increases the release of a chemical in your brain known as dopamine, which is a pleasure chemical. cigarrettes do the same thing but pot has thc in it which blocks the dopamine off inside a nerve of the brain and lets it build up there. Right in the peek of your "high" is when all of that dopamine is finally released throughout your brain. it calms you and well if you've ever done it, which i don't know if you have or not, you'll know what im talkin about.
To answer your question though, yes it probably would help. i would say there's an 80% chance that it will work. Oh and you are soooooooooooooooooooooooo right about man made drugs and medications. just stick with the natural plants and herbs(weed) that come from the earth and you'll be just fine!

I am not certain about bi-polar disorder, but cannabis can help you develop depression, psychosis and schizophrenia.

I have heard of studies indicating a beneficial effect to people suffering physical pain or nausea, but no beneficial effects to mental health, and it is contraindicated for mental health patients.

I believe pot would be no good. It is a drug that affects the mood, and Bipolar is all about mood swings....BIG CLASH there...doesn't sound like a good idea!
