Example: Communication is a two way street ... Fred tells Jane its going to snow. What did Jane hear? Did she hear, "Blah-Blah-Blah", or "Snow, Fun, Joy-Joy", or "I should wear a warmer coat". So, how would Fred know how Jane interpreted his statement?

What common elements of communicating should Fred do to determine if he got his message to Jane correctly?

Currently in the hiring process of a fortune 500 company.I will have to submit to a drug test part of the hiring process.The position I have applyed for is a high level management position and I am 99% sure they want to hire me.I am worried my drug test will uncover my lorazepam usage possibly disqualifying me from this position. I once had a heated discussion with an anthropology professor who became quite irate and defensive when I told her I believed humans have instincts. She vehemently denied it and told me that she is the professor and I am not (so she is educated as opposed to my ignorance). "Okay". I responded. "The alpha female has spoken". when I was 10 years old, I saw a huge brilliant object like a floating stadium right above me. it fades away in the sky after few minutes. when I was about 13 years old, I saw the mother of my best friend passing by our house, only to find out that she was already dead 2 days ago. there were other several events like these that also happened along the years. im still searching for possible explaination.
