i dont think any exist ..kids pretend to be adults and most people on them only look for smut......best thing to do is join a club and meet people face to face they are less likely to be smutty when you are looking at them

What is your classification of smut? I go to chatrooms that are monitored and chat for hours because everyone knows if they bring up stupidity, or are crass, they will be banned. I used to pop into childrens rooms to see what they talked about and never saw one single conversation, it was all very boring so I think they were waiting for somebody to entertain them, or they really don't know how to think correctly and need parental supervision. Thats your job in my opinion, they are your children as so many of you have told me, so supervise the brats or stop complaining that you have idiots, and let some intelligence into their lives.

Aol always had a good selection of chat rooms that weren't creepy. I used to lead a regular investment chat. Don't think we ever had a kid, and since it was moderated, I had the ability to block people if they got out of hand.
Look for moderated chats on specific topics. Less creeps, and usually no A/S/L questions.

Yahoo messenger lol. Instant messaging is about the only way to go where you won't have juvenile drama. Hop into a yahoo chat room...find a couple people who are interesting to talk to and then take it to and IM. Vioala...no drama then. Also you get complete privacy too!
