I truly believe there are people that invent drama. They feed off of it. I think it is sad, and to be honest, rather pathetic. If we all could see what life is supposed to really be like......think of all that would change. We will never see it. Have you also noticed that it seems more and more people just "dont get it"

Ha, great question. Unfortunately I don't really have an answer. But I think it has to do with insecurity a lot of the time which may affect how open to new things or different people someone is. Also geography, or how isolated from others you are can play a big role. I would definitely say that there is often a connection between religion as well. But fortunately there are SOME religious people out there that get their own religion can can be accepting of other perspectives.
I must say it is odd how some people have absolutely no capability at all of looking at life from other perspectives, and cannot understand that there are people out there that feel differently than they do about life. I may not be able to understand WHY someone thinks they way they do about something, but I at least try to accept the fact that from their perspective, life as they see it makes total sense.
Make sense?

I agree with you. Even when you do get it, life gets a little difficult dealing with those that do not. All the drama. People make so much of little things. Even on this question and answer. You can ask a simple question and send someone into a big ole snit. I guess it's what makes the world go round. It takes all kinds.

Or, "Why isn't Common Sense more common?" One could argue that as the total knowledge mankind accumulates requires greater specialization and less general knowledge or common sense. I don't really agree with this though as there is a basic level of knowledge I think everyone should have. What's more important than knowledge though, it's the ability to think critically. I run into people every day who have a wealth of knowledge, but absolutely know idea of how to apply it.

i know what you mean. Its like people live in a fantasy world and dont see the big picture, they see the inside of thier house as the world and plug their brain into cnn and think they know whats going on. While others objectively take in news from multiple sources and see that any one incident on the other side of the globe is presented to you the consumer to influence your ideas about something to either one side or the other. Different news sources use the same story to shift your ideas to the opposite of the previous source. Its really rediculous and that is why it is important to maintain your objective self and not fall in with these mainstream drones but not fall into the opposite extremist conspiracy theorists either.

Common sense is a skill that can't be learned in school or text books. You have it or you don't. The school of life can improve your skills in this area but it is partially an inbred trait. You can't fix stupid as comedian Ron White says.

lack of intelligence makes some people hopeless. Ive wondered the same thing. I dont know how some people have any quality of life when their so dumb..........guess they have less to stress over if they cannot see it though.

The bullshitters don't want to get it. They are perfectly content not "getting it". If you "get it" you are required to do something with it... share it, explain it, help someone, etc. They prefer to remain in blissful ignorance that makes them exempt from making a contribution.
