In the orchard, he said not to worry about him, because life was
like an orchard, constantly "reseeded" itself...and coming back.
I think this is very unusual concept for a 7 year old to dream.
What is your opinion? (my parents did not talk about such subjects
at the time)

Dreaming is such a nebulous state of mind. Many believe we dream things that we are afraid to experience while awake. I'm sure if you encountered your Grandfather after he died, you might be at least confused and probably scared.

There is little to support the concept of the dead communicating with the living through dreams, but that may be because the proof is not of this world and not experienced in this world.

As a seven year old, you probably had difficulty explaining to yourself what happened to your Grandfather and the dream may have been a way for your subconscious to fill in that blank.

Your parents probably were responding to their own stuff at the time and dismissed your attempts to share your experience. It is a shame but at times of loss, it is difficult to give children what they need to feel validated and respected.

My opinion is you are lucky to have had the experience, even if it were just a figment in your own mind. Count yourself lucky you didn't dream that he was suffering. As far as your parents, maybe now or later in life, they can take time to discuss with you about your experience. It would be a nice thing to share with them no matter how much time has passed. Know that if they haven't resolved issues with the death or issues with you as an adult, they may not be available to discuss it still, maybe not ever, but it is worth a try!

when i was 7, i lost an apple and i had a dream that i found it in a retirement home. it was still ripe and nobody had tried to eat it because the residents had all lost their dentures...

the apple said to me not to worry about it, because apples were like the elderly... bound to spoil and rot and turn to vinegar eventually...

i remember being extremely disturbed by having a talking apple. when i told my parents about it, they gave me orange juice and told me to get ready for school, and to shut up and be good and quit taking so long in the bathroom.

i don't know if this answers your question, but i hope it helps...
