Currently in the hiring process of a fortune 500 company.I will have to submit to a drug test part of the hiring process.The position I have applyed for is a high level management position and I am 99% sure they want to hire me.I am worried my drug test will uncover my lorazepam usage possibly disqualifying me from this position. So my question is how long does lorazepam stay in the bodys system once discontinued ?

If your Dr. wrote for it the Don't worry...

If you are taking someone elses that you are not supposed to...

Most drugs stay in for about a week. If its prescribed and you have written proof the company probably wont care. Many people who work high level jobs take things for stress or anxiety.

lorazepam or ativan, if this is perscribed to you by a doctor, why would you care...Being an employer, I like to have my employees seeking help if they need it from a health professional. If you are already trying to hide the truth, what kind of an employee will you make...

Do not stop any anxiety med without your Dr. stopping you. When you get a test, you disclose to them all meds your taking so they know if you come up positive for something, they know why. Also drink lots of water that's how you show negative for marijuana use.

If your doctor Rx the lorazepam it should not be a problem. I also take it when I can't sleep. Tell them up front that you take it occasionally for sleeping.
