this summer i volunteered for an organiation that helps little kids deal with deaths of family members. we were trained... but only for 2 hours and the way we were rtained was ridiculous. we practiced more on how to play with the kids and coloring than how to talk with them
yesterday was my first meeting with my kid. she is 10 and 2 years ago her little sister drowned. her family has never talked aobut it together and her dad is angry a lot. she still cries a lot too and is angry herself. ive told her the normal things like "its ok to feel this way.. its normal." and her dad isnt mad at her, hes just mad he lost his daughter. but what else do you say? i dont want to say cliche things like "its ok" "shes in a better place now" because... it really isnt ok. but how do i get her to deal with it effectivly? what do i say to help her?
also.. i want to bring her a little gift for next week. any ideas? i tried asking her favorite candy or stuff but she says she doesnt liek anything.

I know a girl who is sooo sure of herself she thinks she'll get high grades and she'll be applied in a position in college, is she over reacting, I mean for me I only hope the best for myself but I can never say I'm sure I'll get it . I only do my best and never expect anything..what will really happen to her if she never got that position?

Today my brother and him go in an agrument and it ended up with my brother getting him in one of those hand locks from behind and pushing him against the table. My cousin also started to cry, which is very unlike him. My cousin is only 14 and is very rebelius. He has a lot of deep anger (I guess that's what you would call it). Anyway right now he is actting really werid. He is making werid noises and stuff. I can hear him from upstairs. This is also out of character for him.

What could be wrong with him? I am sort of worried for him.

I make about 1/2 what he does yearly, and the last 2 times we went out for dinner, he casually left the entire bill to me.
Is he being a cheap A** or and am I being stupid, or should he at least offer to pay his part. He has taken me out many times, and I have always offered to pay my portion of the bill, but lately for some reason he just leaves the whole thing to me. He makes about 100,000. a year.

Is the world really a better place for kids? How come?Aren´t more and more of them forced to grow up, coerced to leading an adult life?Parents these days put more strain on children than in the past, they may be given more opportunities, but aren´t they just the nice side of the deal which means growing old?

Billions of dollars have already been spent to no avail. No one experiement has proved and concluded that there is a "gay gene," and no one ever will.

I mean, some of them kind of suck butt. I don't want to seem really superior and haughty, but I need a way to tell them what to do. Help?

I was wondering if somebody knows how this wonderful tradition evolve. In fact in some cultures it is not a common practice and is supposed to be quite impolite.
