newtons craddle consists usually of 5 small steel spheres, each suspended by 2 light strings. modelling this by a number of particles each suspended by 2 strings inclinded at 80 degrees to the horizontal, find the tension in each string when:a) the weight of each steel sphere is 0.8 newtons b) the mass of each steel sphere is 0.1kg.

A 51.0 kg diver steps off a diving board and drops straight down into the water. The net force when in the water is an upward 1020 N. If the diver comes to rest 5.0 m below the water's surface, what is the total distance between the diving board and the diver's stopping point underwater?

now imagine theres a point A at height of 40 metres . now from that point a thin non elastic lace (thread) starts to materialize(magically orignate) and run down and hits the ground due to gravity. the lace keeps on appearing and its like endless. now when it appears at point A its velocity is zero but it gets jerked up to a velocity . now what would be the vellocity of the lace when hits the ground after runnin down 40 metres. AIR RESISTANCE IS TAKEN AS ZERO. here gravity is acting on the vertical length of the lace which is forty metres. according to me the lace can have a maximum velocity of only 20 m/s. which is less than 28 m/s when u drop something from a height of 40 metres..

Here is the deal, the SPL formula will tell me what dB a sound will be at once it reaches a certain distance, but I need something a little different. The SPL forumla is:

(SPL2 = SPL1 + 20log[d1/d2]) where 'd'=distance

Well, I need to know how to manipulate this formula so that it will tell me the DISTANCE at which a sound reaches a certain dB.

For example, let's say I have the original distance that the sound was measured at, for our purposes we will say that it was 90 dB at a distance of 20 feet. Without a bunch of trial and error, how can I tell what distance the sound will be 20 dB at?

Thank you!

Well, recently I have been wondering about some physics questions that I have came up with. So I will just list them and feel free to answer which ones you can:

1. If an object gets closer and closer to the speed of light it gains (in mass) exponentially, then:
- Can we make an object without mass reach that speed?
- Can we make objects without mass (besides electrons)?
- At the speed of light is there time?
- Can a living organism have a mass of zero so that it may reach the speed of light?

2. In regards to space:

- Does space have any physical attributes so that it is malleable? (A bit broad but do your best!)

Extra comments: I am a strong believer in imagination and intelligence, I am often amazed at how my peers are so involved in Social conduct that they become numb to everything else, it is always important to remember to have an equal balance of interaction in your life. Try not to focus on just one thing!

Get out and live.

2)A golfer takes two putts to sink his ball in the hole once he is on the green. The first putt displaces the ball 6.00m east, and the second putt it 5.40m south. What displacement would put the ball in the hall in one putt?

one can travel in time - past and future,
one can travel within seconds from far distance to another,
one can see through walls (or opaque object).

i have analyzed: what he meant was - if we can transform (copy) ourselves in different media (which travels at speed of light) then we can achieve the above mentioned.

einstein projected was absolutely correct:
when can copy (or tranform) our image and sound and reproduce, in a audio visual format.

this copy can be send at the speed of light to any part of the world (Television)

when we view this copy in future, we will be viewing past

when we take a video of image and sounds in other room by CCTV, we can see in our room

hence i think einstein was absolutely correct.
