I've built a Physics project, where a vertical circle moves around its axis (Y-axis), and there's a small ring on the circle. When I start rotating the circle (using an eletric motor), at a certain velocity, the ring starts to ascend, and as the speed increases the ring ascends higher and higher, until it reaches the middle (height of half a circle, of one radius). From this speed on the ring stays at its height until I slow the circle down and the rings descends to its starting position.

How can I explain this phenomena to my classmates?
(I'm in 11th grade)

Science fair project. She needs to know why some soups float and others sink. An explanation of why they float..does it have to do with weight, contents, density??? Mom's a science dummy so any little bit of information will help

To convert a galvanometer into a voltmeter, the galvanometer must be connected in series with a large resistor (called a multiplier). What are the reason(s) for using a large resistance for the multiplier? I've tried getting the info from my book, but I am just not understanding what they mean. Could someone simplify please?

A 15.59 N weight is suspended from two strings which both make a 14.74 degree angle with the vertical (watch out! Place the angle correctly). What is the tension in each string.

The answer is 8.060260258517114 , please explain how to get (explaining all the variables and wut they mean please)

Ive seeing a video clip of a person take 2 nails and stick them into 2 candles (each nail to each candle) and take the magnet rub the surface of the magnet against the nail to magnetize it (for both of the nails) and than he attach wire to each of the nail connect the other side of the wire to a bulb from a flashlight. now he light-up each candle There you go the bulb is lighting.
My questions is what create the energy for the light to turn on and why we need a candles.
Thank You

A 5.888 kg block slides with constant velocity on a horizontal plane. The coefficient of friction is 0.35. The block is pushed by a force which is parallel to the plane. How large is this force ? Indicate with a negative (positive) sign whether the direction of this force can (cannot) be obtained from the direction in which the block is sliding.

The answer is 20.216448, but how do u get it?

An electric current is given by the expression I ( t ) = 110 sin(120*pi*t), where I is in amperes and t is in seconds. What is the total charge carried by the current from t = 0 to t = 1/120 s?

I'm a little confused. I was looking at the way someone else did it. They told me that since the current is the time derivative of charge (I = dQ/dt), the charge is the integral of the current. So I did:

110sin(120*pi*(1/120))-110sin(120*pi*0) and got that the current was: 6.028 which I rounded to 6.03 for sig figs but it didn't work. Anyone see anywhere I'm going wrong?

When we read about blackbodies, we are never told about the specific material of the cavity. But the frequency curve is smooth, and depends on the temperature (Plank's law). But we know that atoms emit energy by discrete energetic jumps. ¿How can explain that result?

OK so I dig a hole and keep digging (forget about the heat of the earth's core and any oceans or whatever. As I can dig half way (because of gravity's pull) would I have to start digging upwards to get through to the other side. But how can I dig up if gravity will just pull be back down ? Would I float in the centre of the earth or something? Imagine there was a huge tunnel from one side of the earth to the other and I jumped down it, what would happen when I got to the centre of the earth with regards to gravity? Thoughts??
