I was talking to someone who read a book and remembered the distance ..or measurement of stars etc .
I want to learn it so when people ask me i have an idea of it all .
it was neat .. light travels at ..such and such speed ..or .. if it is this far away it takes the light this amount of time to reach us.

Right i really dont understand this but thought someone else on here might! Well i have this worksheet. This is one of the questions see if you get it:

1. Work out the power of these electric fires, to the nearest watt, if they produce 1000 kj in these amounts of time
a) 200 seconds
b) 8 minutes
c)10 minutes

Do you understand them, there are loads more by the way im not tryna get h/w awnsers of people! lol
If you do get them could you please tell me how you worked them out in a easy way to understand as i have 2 worksheets to complete on this lol

Thank You
(10 points will be rewarded)

P.S- I also have these notes
Joules: 1KJ = 1000J
Find P if Wd = 60 J and t = 10

This question has been haunting me since childhood. I don't expect u people to give the correct answer or explanation to me but still let me see.

From our school studies we have studied that this universe came as a result of the 'big bang' of a dense spherical ball. Before that something might have happened and i don't care about that. What i want to know is that when did all these physical activities start taking place. There was no one no god or someone who said " Go! the time starts now" and suddenly everything came into existence. No. But there must have been some kind of start. Did u get to the depth of my question?? Plz give scientific explanations.

I wonder i have never found anybody wondering about this puzzle. But may be some Einstein has already given an explanation to this. If so plz let me know.

Lets see how fast you can do this one guys ;)
