They don't reflect light better than any other clear crystal that's been cut correctly. Once you reach the critical angle, 100% of the light that comes in reflects out from any crystal. Diamonds look good only because jewelry stores and commercials tend to use point source, narrow beam lights like halogen lights. It's all hype.
