when we view an object, as the light enters the eye lens the image is turned upside down, does rthis mean that in reality, our world is up the other way to what we see it?

No, the IMAGE of the object you are viewing is upside down when focussed on to the Retina.

The data is then processed by the Optic Nerve which inverts the IMAGE (not the Object) and that is why we see the object the right way up.

No. When an image enters your eye, it is reversed, but then it is set right again by your brain.
