Einstien said that nothing with mass could acheive or exceed the speed of light. So that implies that light does not have a mass. Also it has been proved that a black hole has a gravity so strong that not even light can escape it. So how is it that light has a mass (from the black hole example) yet it can travel at the speed of light?

Why Does Fusion bombs release more energy...Seems splitting atoms in Fission would release more of the Strong Nuclear Force then Fusing atoms or does it have to do with the Helium produced in Fusion that expands further covering more ground taking energy with it

Okay, energy excites electrons... their energy level increases, so they move further away from the nucleus of the atom (protons and neutrons) - but when the energy excites them, how does it move to a new, further away, atomic orbital? does it all of the sudden "bounce" to the next sub-energy/primary enegy level? Does it slowly move? HELP!

Can someone please explain to me (or direct me to a place with an explanation) how are "gap solitons" are formed in a nonlinear photonic crystals?
I need a simple qualitive explanation (no complicated equations) of the, in and out gap solitons ,phenomenon and bistability.

I can understand possibly traveling back in time, because those events already happened, but in order to go to the future don't you have to "wait" for the future to happen? For example, if you travel at light speed for 1000 years, it will seem like you traveled into the future, because time stops for you when you are going light speed, but your spaceship still takes 1000 years to make the journey. Do some people believe you can just instantly "jump" into the future, and how?

...or is the path actually elliptical? In other words, if the Earth didn't get in the way, the path of the football would be a very skinny elliptical orbit about 8000 miles long, correct? (Yeh, I realize this very small segment of the ellipse would closely resemble a parabola, anyway, but that's beside the point.)
