That's an interesting thinker of a question. We actually would be blind because the light would pass straight through our transparent retinas and out of the back of our transparent heads, so would never stimulate the cells in the eye anyway.

To be blind the only thing that would have to be perfectly transparent is your pupil!
I always find it amusing that in movies with an invisible man they never explain how they can actually SEE.
Interaction with electromagnetic fields is a two-way street. If you can see, there must be photons being absorbed by the eye and that should make at least part of the eye visible. That's my comment anyway! Think about it the next time you see Hollow Man or one of the earlier versions! Regards.

We'd see the refracted light instead of the reflected light. Except as someone else said the light would pass through our transparent retinas. It'd probably be like living in a glass world, a nuisance in bright sunlight and we'd be better off growing long whiskers and going nocturnal.
Merry Xmas!

No, you wouldn't be 'blind', because you can still see; but if everything is PERFECTLY transparent you wouldn't see anything because you would also be perfectly transparent and light rays would pass right through your eyes and nothing would register on your optic nerves.
Happy Christmas.

Absolutely. We do not "see" an object. We see the reflected light. Totally transparent objects reflect no light, so you wouldn't see them.
However, you can see a piece of totally transparent glass, because light rays bend as they pass through it, causing distortions, which we perceive.

Yes, we'd be blind. Also worth noting is the fact that you would be blind if you yourself were invisible, because no light would be reflecting from your eyes. Take that, Frodo Baggins!

Yes, we see from reflected photons off an object and they are absorbed by our eyes. We would only be able to see light sources, this is all assuming our eyes could absorb photons.

if light were transparent then we couldn't see it so everything would be black (blind people dont see black they see nothing)
