It is common sense that nothing can be made out of nothing.Things can come into being only out of something . Matter being indestructible , it can not also be created .it can only be changed from one to another ; but can never be destroyed .it may be visible or invisible tous too. are the scientists correct in quessing that initially ther was nothing and suddenly something appeard from nowher and the Big Bang was set off.?

If two train tracks were parallel to one another and the two trains were going in opposite directions one complete time around the Earth, starting at the same point, at the same speed, one going in the direction that the Earth turns and one going against, would one get back to the starting point before the other?
Also would the speed of the trains matter if they were both doing 2mph or 100mph? Or if the Earth was spinning at 100mph?

If not, I propose that at the center of a hoop (not in the hoop itself) of light there must be an area that every emanation of light would "miss". Infinity at its smallest existance, perhaps, yet a "lightless" location. (This also assumes a single point of reference touching the hoop. Not three points making a "T" to obtain the right angle "off surface".) This question is for serious physicists.

I have a basic understanding of kinetic and potential energy (obviously not enough as will become apparent!)

What I would like to know is after you hit a golf ball (or any other object), what keeps it moving forward? Its not like it has a motor stuff to the back of it, it doesnt expel any rear exhaust thrust.

What is actually moving it?

To help you understand how my mind works, I know why my arm moves and continues to move because I have muscles, a car moves because it has a motor, a fether drops because of gravity.

Hopefully someone can give me a laymans reasons why

Thanks

Is this merely an academic concept, useful for classroom teaching, or will it (can it?) have a useful application in the real world?

If so, what is its most promising or feasible use?
