Does heat create infrared radiation? Is heat itself IR radiation? Is it radiation like I am thinking of in the sense of nuclear radiation except not harmful? If someone could clear this up for me...what exactly is the link here?

Some schools even have texts books explaining the way god did it. How do they know how god did it and is this made up version of events based on the bible or just invented to keep sertain groups ill informed and thus less capable of making rational desisions based on all the information available.

I've been wondering that considering today's high spec materials and manufacturing whether permeable tarmac (or similar) was possible - it probably wouldn't be genuine tarmac, but would serve the same purpose, and would be some new composite material.

I have the idea of a surface using materials technology that would allow water to permeate to the ground while still being hardwearing - a kind of more flexible porous version of our current surfaces. This would go a long way to helping prevent the flooding we've seen that's been blamed on the lack of open land to soak away rainwater.

I'd like to know from those with materials knowledge whether such an idea might be possible, and how? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is "yes" - but if so, how is this allowed? I'm just under 6ft tall and could easily touch the wire, even accidentally if I was waving my arms above my head. Or are they low voltage?

In your work you attempt to uncover secrets that nature hide from us, undo things that nature do to us, remake things that nature made but we're not satisfied with. Then on sundays you become a god-fearing man who goes to Church in a suit. Does this trouble you at all?

What if you teach evolution in college and at church you nod when the pastor talks about creation.

What if we were not meant to know all these things we know, are we sinning even more than if we were to relinquish our work and do nothing?

soil nutrients which can be absorbed by plants...? Assume a primitive society without modern (or ancient) embalming techniques, or sealed caskets.

For example, in places where ancient battles were fought, and the dead armies were plowed under, how well will the grain grow afterward?

Some people tell me it will grow and be human-nutritive.

Others insist that crops will fail to grow or contain harmful chemicals or organisms due to the nature of the fertilizer.

Still others assume I actually have a dead body to practice on and threaten to sic CSI on me.

(Did it ever occur to you that if I had a dead body, I would not need to ask....? That I might refrain from asking, for fear of arousing suspicion...?)

Forest fires have been taking place far before any human beings walked the Earth. The proof for this is that many tress' seeds have evolved in such a way to germinate following a forest fire. Basically, these seeds have pores blocked with corks, or so you can visualize it. When they are heated to a certain degree, the corks "pop off." That's good enough a reason for me to believe that forest fires are natural occurrences in nature.

So why should we stop a natural phenomenon from taking place? we all know that tampering with nature ALWAYS produces more undesirable results than ever intended. Remember when the rangers at Yellowstone noticed that the number of deer were decreasing so they stepped in by killing all the wolves? That had a horrific detrimental effect on wildlife there.
Same goes for forest fires. If you attempt to stop them, the dead, unburnt trees accumulate on the ground leaving logs of potent fuel to burn even more in future fires..this produces even wilder wildfires.
