depends on what particular part of dusk you are talking about. red is the easier to see in the early parts of dusk, and becomes the hardest color to see as it gets increasingly darker. since red is about the same intensity and hue as darkness. but just about ever color has a particular point of the range called dusk, where they become the hardest color to see. and a lot also depends on the background. a green background would extend the range where green would be harder to see. but in the sky blue would be harder to see, in the earlier parts of dust, an become more visible as the dusk increases. but eventualy all other clolors become either darker or lighter than the dusk, with the range of yellow the easiest to see throughout dust, and the more dull red based colors the hardest to see.

Its actually Chartreuse, but your teacher probably wanted Yellow as the answer.
In darkness the eyes maximum sensitivity shifts toward yellow-green wavelengths
I've never heard of a teacher not giving out the correct answer.

I chose a white car to lease because the salesman told me they were the easiest to see at dusk. Watch someone walking along the road at night in a dark shirt & one in a white shirt. The dark shirt absorbs the light & is hard to see. The white shirt reflects the light & is easy to see. Same for cars.

florescent orange or florescent yellow, they reflect a lot of light that our eyes can detect easier in a dark environment. Remember that anything contradictory to the darkness will stick out easier, throw a black pen and a white one in the grass at night and see which one you can see easier.

Hi. Fluorescent orange. The color of reflected light is shifted into the visible wavelengths.

I've always heard silver or grey cars are the hardest to see in fading light or darkness, but I don't know why. Maybe because they don't reflect much light...
oops, I totally misread the question, Sorry.

I would say white or yellow.
Blue and gray are the worst, they blend in with the faded black top.
Just my opinion.
I'm just wondering about red, since fire engines are red.
Hope some one knows for sure.
