Isn't about time we let certain animal species to disappear naturally? I think it's dumb to have a small fish that no one ever knew about stop the construction of a dam that will help mankind. How about that woodpecker that no one is even sure existed any longer but stopped some major project from going thru?

Please choose something that would be reasonably attainable, especially within the next 100 years. It could be a new discovery, or a valid theory to describe an existing phenomenon.

Also, if you can explain how we would get from the abstract discovery to the practical benefit, you will get extra consideration for the best answer.

modern/conventional science didn't know it was there until the late 1800s- the dogons knew it was there in the 2nd century B.C. and called it "po tolo" (keep in mind: this particular star is not only invisible to the naked eye, it's invisible to all conventional instruments that pre date the 1950s)

ive been getting these spiders in my house. please help me figure out what it is. I will describe it to the best of my ability. They are like a medium brown/grayish color. About the size of a dime or a bit smaller. But what makes it look so scary and unique is the legs. They are really tall and they are all scrunchedup, bowlegged, doublejointed looking. I wish I had a pic, but I dont. They are really freaking me out. Oh, and I live In KC, Missouri. Which is north-eastern missouri if that help, region-wise. PS. I looked up brown recluses and wolf spiders on the computer and its not that. YIkes HELP!
