Dan invests $3000 more in an account that pays 4% simple interest than he invests in an account that pays 3% simple interest. If the total interest earned for the first year is $610, how much did Dan invest in each account?

a. Let x represent the principal invested in the account paying 3% interest.

b. Write the two equations in terms of x and y.
c. Solve the system of equations and state the amount invested at 3% and at 4%.

My dughter's homework is very difficult. Can you please help? It goes like this: "At Irv's Cycle Rental Shop, Irv rents all kinds of cycles: unicycles, tandem bikes, regular bikes, and even tricycles for little kids. He parks all the cycles in front of his shop with a helmet for each rider strapped to the cycles. This morning Irv counted 57 helmets and 115 wheels parked in front of his store. He knows he has an equal number of unicycles and tandem bikes. He also knows that he has 32 regular bikes. How many unicycles, tandem bikes, and tricylcles does Irv have?" Please help her. 15+6+5=26

is this right I posted a question about this problem and got 6 different answers and this is what I came up with!!! I want to give it to my daughter who is 6 to do but I need to make sure I can do it first! She is freaky smart and I know she can do it but I need to make sure I can before I teach it to her!
