I just can't understand the topic. No matter how hard I practice I never seem to get it right. And now I have a 20 pts homework about it. I'll give one number, and please explain to me how the process works. And the solution of answer won't hurt either :)

Solve.

Hi guys and gals, I had this question on my cal test and for some freakin reason I couldn't figure it out. If someone knows what to do, it would help for next time I guess.

integral dy/(y^2 - 4)

I'm guessing you use the integrate by parts thing..but I could be wrong.

Anywho thanks very much :)

Hi, I don't quite understand how to do this question-(the 2.5% is kind of confusing me)
Help please :)

...You decide that accepting women within the top 2.5% height bracket will be reasonable for your competition. The height of all women follows a normal distribution with a mean of 168 cm and a standard deviation of 9 cm.

Calculate the cut-off height (C) that ensures only women within the top 2.5% height bracket are allowed into the competition.

Two miles upstream from his starting point, a canoeist passed a log floating in a river's current. After paddling upstream for one more hour, he paddled back and reached his starting point just as the log arrived. Find the speed of the current.

I don't get it, how do I calculate it from this info?

Please be clear, thanks!

Ok so im in pre calc 2 and have a test in a few day and cant figure this type of problem out!!!! My teach is really not alot of help.

it says find the exact value of each expression, with out using calculator
i under stand this problem...
(sin^ -1) (1) thats suppost to be read as inverse sin of 1. but i cant really type it right on here. but all you do is go to Sin= 1 on the unit circle and thats = to π / 2 (thats pi over 2)
i also get all the other ones like that but...

how do i do this one...
(sin^-1)((cos)(2π / 3)) i know the answer is -π/6 but how do i get that? Please explain!!!!!!! thank you so much

also other ones i cant solve but is the same way

(cos^-1)((tan)(3π/4))

Tan^-1 ( tan (7π/4))

Cos^-1 (cos(7π/6))

thank you for all the help you may provide! if anything simplify your explaination as much as you can lol thank you again have a great day
