1. Given the function v(t) is

(1/2)t when t is greater than zero and less than or equal to four

2 when t is greater than four and less than or equal to six

-t+8 when t is greater than six and less than or equal to eleven

3t-36 when t is greater than eleven and less than or equal to twelve

Find the distance function f(t) that corresponds to v(t).

2. Let f(x) = (2x + 3)^(1/2). Simplify
(f(x + h) - f(x))/h
and evaluate your simplified answer when h = 0.

3. Find (using any method you can think of) cos(x) = x.

Can you give me an answer and maybe an explanation. Thanks so much.

is positive? Is the 0 taken into consideration rendering not all numbers positive or its only use is for the distance between?

Hey I am in Calculus right now and my teacher gave us this packet with questions from previous Ap exams.

1980 AB3

Let f(x)=ln(x^2) for x>0 and g(x)=e^(2x) for x>(or equal to)0. Let H be the composition of f with g, that is, H(x) = f(g(x)), and let K be the composition of g with f, that is K(x)=g(f(x)).

(a) Find the domain of H and write an expression for H(x) that does not contain the exponential function.

(b) Find the domain of K and write an expression for K(x) that does not contain the exponential function.

(c) Find an expression for f^-1(x), where f^-1 denotes the inverse function of f, and find the domain of f^-1.

I would really appreciate your help. I need answers by tonight, thanks.

-Also I need to show work so if you can show how you got it I would appreciate it, but if you know the answer, or just one of the answers, I will accept that aswell, thanks.

Lets say you're naming segments that are the same, would you write that their equal or congruent?

Lets say you're naming angles that are the same, would you write that their equal or congruent?

Lets say you're naming lines that are the same, would you write that their equal or congruent?

is there any way of knowing which one it is?

Thanks :)

We are preparing for a major competition and came across with cos 2 and cos 2^0. What is the difference in the graph of the two? Even if we write as cos 2x and cos 2^0x, we still can't see the difference between the two.

This question really got me confused and I don't think it has got to do with the double angle.

Thanks in advance.....

What does that mean? Does that mean that we're to plug in something from the left and then something from the right to get two values or is there some complex way to do it that my teacher decided not to share with us? The problems I'm asking about specifically are:
find the derivatives from the left and form the right at x=1 (if they exist). Is the funcion differentiable at x=1?
53. f(x) = abs(x-1)
55. f(x) = (x-1)^3, x less than or equal to 1
(x-1)^2, x > 1

thanks for the help

Given the function f defined by f(x)=ln(x^2-9)

(a) Descibe the symmetry of the graph of f.

(b) Find the domain of f.

(c) Find all values of x such that f(x)=0

(d) Write a formula for f^-1(x), the inverse function of f, for x>3.

1. I'm looking for the density. I was given the equation Density=Mass/Volume. The mass is 4.65 x 10^6 g. The volume is 5.374 x 10^-3 mL. Would the answer be 0.865 x 10^9 g/mL?

2. Given that the volume is 13.6 x 10^4 mL, and the density is 6.8 x 10^4 g, what is the mass? So the equation would be M=VD, right? My answer was 92 x 10^8 g^2. Is that correct?

3. I had to find the volume. I'm not sure if this is right, but I changed the equation to V=M/D. The given mass was 6.2 x 10^6 and the given density was 12.4 x 10^-6. I got the answer 0.5 x 10^36, which I think may be wrong in multiple different ways.

Thank you!
