Move anything with a A to one side and when you move it over change the signs. Then move the numbers to the otherside. so it looks like this
7a -3 = 4a + 6
1.) 7a - 4a = 6 + 3 Notice how the signs change when I move it to the other side of the equal sign.
2.) 3a = 9 Then add the like values together
3.) a = 3 Divide both side to get (a) by itself.

There you go To double check if a is correct put the value of (a) back into the orginal formula
7(3) - 3 = 4(3) + 6
21 - 3 = 12 + 6
18 = 18 So if they equal then that means your answer is right

7a-3=4a+6

subtract 4a from both sides

3a-3=6
add 3 to both sides

3a=9
divide both sides by 3

a=3
then check answer

(7*3)-3=(4*3)+6

you subtract 4a from 7a and then you add 3 to six to get a problem that looks like this: 3a = 9. and then you divide 3a and 9 by 3 to get the answer of a =3.

7a - 3 = 4a + 6

7a - 4a = 6 + 3

3a = 9

3a/3 = 9/3

a=3

first u have to get a by itself so u have to add 3 to both sides which makes it 7a=4a+9. then u have to combine like #s so subtract 4a to both sides and u get 3a=9. then divide 9 by 3 and u get a=3.

7a - 3 = 4a + 6

Add 3 to both sides..
7a = 4a + 9

Subtract 4a from both sides..
3a = 9

Divide both sides by 3..
a = 3

Hi,

For this question, we need to get the variable a on one side of the equation and the constant terms on the other.

First Step: Add 3 to both sides to move constant term to keep constants on right side:

7a = 4a + 9

Second Step: Subtract 4a from both sides of the equation to get a on one side of the equation

3a = 9

Next, divide by 3 on both sides of the equation since that will undo the multiplication operation present to get:

a = 3 <==== FINAL ANSWER

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Sincerely,

Andrew

7a-3 = 4a + 6

or 7a-4a = 6 + 3
or 3a = 9
or a = 9 divided by 3
or a = 3

u must put all the a coefficients in one side and numerals in one side.
