The sand on a beach is being washed away by slowly by erosion. In 1870, a lighthouse was 1500
feet from the shoreline. In 1990, the lighthouse was only 150 feet from the shoreline. If the
erosion continues at this rate, how many more years will it be before the lighthouse is at the
shoreline? Write an equation that will tell you the distance of the lighthouse from the shore at
any year, where t is the year.

I can already do it in around 5 min. But truthfully the only point to really being able to know how to do is to be able to impress people with it haha. No one is willing to sit there for 5min and stare at you figure it out, it just loses the appeal. I know practice blah blah, but any specific moves or techniques or anything? any info, would be helpful... thx

Alrighty people. Just trying to do my summer homework packet, and I'm experiencing major brain fartage. It would seem as though I should just add 20 and 5 in the parenthesis, but in the back of my brain, I'm thinking I should dustribute the 'negative one', like 20-1(20+5) to make it 20-20-5. Please help me!
