Hi,
Making an off-center fed dipole for 20, 40 & 80m amateur radio (yes, I do have appropriate licensing for Australia). I have the right balun made up, but I am not sure what types of wire I can use. The dipole will be 40m long - I have a nice big yard.

Can it be something simple like gal fencing wire?

I'm going to school for architectural drafting right now and from what I understand right now on wall configuration, it goes:

plywood sheathing, studs, then insulation and vapor barrier over that, then drywall. Am I right? then what is put over the drywall for the finished wall and paint to be put on? We don't just paint sheetrock right?

I just finished assembling a JDM PIC programmer, but unfortunately don't get any data when trying to read a 16F84A with the IC Prog software.
What are the expected voltage ranges at the socket ?
What are reliable settings for IC Prog ?
Schematic of the programmer can be found here:

There is a possibility that a power company will be building a substation across the road from our house. You always hear the joke "did you live under power lines as a kid?" I was wondering what if any effect that kind of voltage could have on pets. Obviously from a distance, I know its dangerous if they get inside the fence. :-)

Explosively pumped flux compression generators are popular as power sources for electronic warfare devices known as transient electromagnetic devices that generate an electromagnetic pulse without the costs and side effects of a nuclear weapon. (Think the pinch in Ocean's 11) Basically I want to know which research laboratories have them, particularly in France.
