Hm, there seems to be 6 metal rods inside. I think there's chemicals inside them.

Okay, the internet says when you touch metal to both ends, there's fun chemical stuff going on inside and a stick down the middle attaches to the bottom so there's a way to get the electricity out. Ta-daa!
