I am building a DATA ark with all data from the entire internet.

I am gonna lock them in a fire chest that can withstand heat up to 1,550F, waterproof, and is thick too.

Can this protect my DVD Ark of the Information/DATA from EMP Attacks?

if not is there a way to protect my valuable information cheaply from EMP attacks?

I want to know what type of electronic component to use to regulate mains (230V) AC power. for example if it was 5V DC I would use a transistor, but they would have a diode effect on AC and I don't think they would work on 230V anyway. I think a SRC would still have a diode effect.

When researching many sites on the internet, some claim that a watthour meters disk responds more to loads in "unity" and some claim the other way around. Which is the truth ? Does the watthour meters disk respond less the further the power factor moves away from "unity" (100%) ?

I'm talking about the kind you might use for hobbies, where you also have to buy a resistor, a switch, battery connector, wires, and circuit board. I've never wired any electrical components before, and I'm trying to wire up some LEDs for a hobby model. The components listed above are what the manual suggests, but the manual is also made for people who have worked with electrical components before. Can anyone point me in the direction of a detailed step by step guide? I've tried to look up different guides, but many of them just get into the technical aspects of how LEDs work and just that the positive connectors need to line up etc. And also, does anyone where where I can buy these things above? I've found the LED lights I need but nothing else. Do stores regularly carry these things?
