we know that there is an emitter resistance Re...
the resistance is grounded..
so technically speaking the emitter lead is connected to some positive value of potential(+ve end of resistor)
but in CE,emitter is supposed to be grounded.is't it??

Considering the Civil engineer is working on transportation or structure how often would the engineer(s) be at the site?

I am strongly considering a Civil Engineer degree and would like to know about this. What type of engineer jobs would be available for new Civil engineers with a BS? Would I be employed as a field engineer when first starting out, and how long are they on the construction site?

Any input from a civil engineer, someone in construction, or anyone who has an answer will be appreciated.

I am a student at a community college. My grade point average is currently 3.75, but by the time I graduate (assuming the highest marks in my classes) I will have earned a 3.93 average. I have not yet taken any SAT Subject Tests yet (I am considering MTH2 and French--if you have suggestions, please post 'em) and I have earned a score of 32 on the American College Test (ACT). Is my score too low? Should I retake the exam? I would very much like to be considered for admission, however, I am unsure of the likelihood of my acceptance.
(Would-be) Stats:
3.93 GPA
32+ ACT
650<2SAT SUBJECTs<700
Coursework:
Calculus-based Physics 1,2,3;
Calculus 1,2,3;
Differential Equations;
Circuit Analysis;
Statics and Dynamics;
General Chemistry 1;
Computer Programming;
Engineering Graphics.
(I know this doesn't count for much anymore, but:)
Minority Status
Hopefully, our Engineering Club will win the X-Mod Race Track competition.
What do you think? Have I got a fair shot?

hi,
im planning to use an electric car jack(fix to the ground) as to tip a rectangle plate at an angle(this rectangle plate is pivoted at one side and the carjack is put below it and at the middle). The distance between the surface where the plate and the jack meets and the pivot will change as the jack is lifted. Im planning to install a roller bearing at the upper part of the jack, as you can see this is a bit different from conventional bearing because the one which is moving is the outer part not the inner.Anyway,ive found the roller bearing that i want, but can anyone suggest what/where can i find the cylinder for the bearing? the cylinder should be 6cm long and diameter 1.6cm, should i just use a typical nut and bolt?
